Ao Poh Resort

A great getaway spot

This is the one of those places you'll find along the coast where the old spirit of Phi Phi lives on. At present there are 12 bungalows, with no plans for expansion as they want to keep the place relaxed and low key. The bungalows have a great atmosphere, with stonework jungle toilets, porches with hammocks and a setting that's perfectly tranquil. A restaurant on site serves reasonable Thai food. The staff are polite but shy. A great getaway spot.

I didn't see anyone? - 20th February, 2008
I live near long beach and went there, wanted to get a drink. But I didn't see anybody there...It's strange, only see ''Welcome Ao Poh Beach Resort Bungalow'' sign, but nobody???

Beautiful beach, great people - 22nd August, 2007
We didn't actually stay here, but we were dropped off by mistake by the boat taxi on the way to our beach. If we hadn't already booked elsewhere, we would have stayed. We stayed for breakfast - the banana pancakes with nutella are to die for! The owner was fantastic - even when he found out that we weren't staying, he was so helpful in getting us a boat to take us to where we were supposed to be. We were really grateful for his help. Thanks

A very nice place - 27th November, 2006
This is a nice place if you want to get away from the crowds in the centre of Ko Phi Phi, it's very quiet and you can relax at the beach and (during high tide) you can go snorkelling. However, during low tide there are too many nettles to get into the water. This place is very basic but does have a mosquito net. You will need it because during our second day/night we had lots of mosquitoes, frogs rats! and scorpions! in the bathroom.... The boat to Ao Ton Sai will cost you 100 Baht one way, but is free for check in and check out. So you really should like all aspects of nature if you go here!
