Description
Central to it all, Ciao Bella sits on prime beach front land just beside PP Twin Palms. There are just a handful of chic hexagonal bungalows, simple yet classic in design and made from gorgeous local hardwood. Each has air-con, hot water, and comfy beds with clean and stylish linens and decor. Owned and run by an Italian Chef, there is a first class restaurant on site also, serving Thai as well as Italian Cuisine. At the business end of the resort, the beach, you'll find a laid back bar run by casual local rasta who plays chilled music by day and funky beats by night. They serve cocktails and shakes so it's an ideal sunset spot. The rooms could be cheaper but if you pay homage to the adage, Location, location, location then look no further.

We stayed at a bungalow on the beach and the location couldn't have been better. The staff was extremely helpful and the bungalows were very well maintained and comfortable. Highly recommend if you want to be in the center of all the action....And Ciao Bella has delicious pizza!

Because of their vantage point high on the hill, all the rooms here survived the tsunami intact and the resort reopened shortly after the event. Some of them are way, way high up on the hill, especially the fan rooms -- it's a long, hot walk to get to them, but the views down and over the bay more... more

Before the tsunami, P.P. Charlie was a popular spot with about 30 bungalows, right on the water on Ao Lo Dalam. Of course, they were all destroyed by tsunami. They've reopened, to a limited extent with a longhouse set back about 100 metres from the beach that survived the cataclysm. The first-floor... more
