This relatively new place offers and above average rooms and has a very pleasant restaurant. All the rooms are great value for money, with hot water and TVs. The staff are great too. Definitely seek it out.

Great Spot - 7th February, 2007
Stayed here for a couple of nights. Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great. The location was very quiet compared to the rest of town, and just a short (5 minute) walk from the hub of town, from the songthaews and longtails to Railay and beyond. Great restaurants nearby. Above all, it was quiet and serene both at night and in the morning, something that is not always found in buzzing Thailand. Highly recommended.

Great staff - okay room - 20th August, 2009
P Guesthouse is a pleasant enough place to stay but wouldn’t do hand stands over it. The staff are its biggest asset; friendly and helpful. My non air con room was 300 baht a night and just okay. Small but comfortable with a miniscule window over looking a rubbish encrusted tin roof. A couple of room lights were on the blink with one only illuminating only when it felt like it. The location is a bit off the beaten track as well. There are rooms available closer to the centre of Krabi at nearly a third of the price. I wouldn’t recommend the food there either. The American breakfast I ordered was very ordinary. Like I said, okay but I suspect there’s better value for money elsewhere.

Overrated - 12th July, 2009
We stayed at Chan Chan Lay after staying here and I have to say what a difference 100 baht makes. P Guesthouse is simple and clean, but there's definitely better value for money in Lanta. I wasn't really impressed with P to be honest, though there was nothing wrong with it per se. The rooms were small & there's no much around in terms of location.

A great place to escape from city life - 21st December, 2008
I first stayed at P. Guesthouse back in July 2007 for six nights. I travelled alone and the staff were really friendly. Aircon, TV, hot shower, clean rooms. Basic but comfortable and value for money. The restaurant provided decent food and was near the two night markets in krabi town, the one down the road at Chao Fa pier, and the other at the town centre.
I returned to P. Guesthouse two more times in January 2008 and May 2008. The familiar and friendly faces were the main factor in my return visits. The key to a great accommodation experience is to simply be nice, and any issues you have with your room and staying experience would be readily attended to by helpful and willing staff.
Over my 3 visits there, I've witnessed the high and low seasons, from the time where Krabi town was a quaint and peaceful place to the time in January where there was a carnival of sorts opposite p. guesthouse. It was really great for experiencing authentic thai culture of the town as I came across very little foreigners.
Overall, a recommended place for backpackers.

a good place to stay - 29th August, 2007
I came from Koh Samui to Krabi, and on the way the bus stoped at a gas station were there is an office of P.P. Family travel agency (they operate in Krabi area) and they call for me to P. GH and book an A/C room for 600 bhat. From Krabi bus station a driver picked me up to the GH.
It's a very nice GH indeed, clean room, hot shower, nice staff and small restaurant with good thai and european food. it's not far from the local mall ''Vogue'' where you can find KFC and the Pizza Company with some good bargains of clothes, and also not far from the river where you can take a nice walk along side it.
in the GH you can book some trip to the islands like Phi Phi and kayak or ATV trips, but you should bargain about the price or try to find someone else how gives a cheaper price - eventually all travel agencies sell the same trips here.
and 1 last advice: if you not booking in advance you should bargain for the price of the room too - i'm sure 600 bhat for A/C is overpriced!
enjoy :-)

DO NOT STAY HERE - 30th March, 2007
booked a/c room 600bt. After a long day travelling had an early night, was woken up by insect bites at about 23.30. Found the bed and room infested with an insect which looked like a cross between a beetle and a tick. They had been biting me and my wifeand were full of blood!! Complained to the night porter who offered another room, when I checked under the pillow the insects were there too. Showed the night porter who just shrugged and walked out.
Had to change guesthouses at midnight, was lucky and found Chaifa guesthouse down the road for 680bt a/c and b/fast, better room and no sleeping partners.
Stay here if you want the full travelling experince only
