Thai Hotel
A good deal for families

What we say:
This large, aging hotel actually offers a wide range of room options, even for those on a budget. The rooms are clean, even if they are showing signs of age, and the staff were quite friendly. The family rooms are quite spacious and well-furnished -- making the Thai Hotel a very good deal for families. All and all, not so bad, for a cheap hotel.

Passable
I arrived quite late at night. They told me only air-con rooms were available, but suddenly 'discovered' one when I turned to leave. I was taken up to a room which was a double. The smell was quite musty. Two of the lights were broken, making it a little dark. There was a TV with one English channel, though it was StarMovies so not so bad. The bathroom was nice and mattress comfortable. It had a window but no view. The worst thing was the fan, which was attached to the ceiling and rotated 360 degrees, slowly, with no way to stop it's position. This made it quite hot. The staff refered to me as a Farang (normal), but seemed nice enough. I was charged 380 and given a proper receipt. I moved somewhere cheaper the next day. I thought the place was acceptable just for the night.
