Grand Tower Hotel
A bit musty

What we say:
This very long-running hotel has standard small hotel-style rooms, which are reasonably clean though a little musty. There are six floors of rooms and no lift to bring you up, but on the plus side, it's nice and quiet up there at night. The bar out front is a popular spot in the evening, featuring nightly live music. All told, the riverside hotels are probably a better value.

Musty is about right
But its nice enough. Rooms are clean and a decent size, and I got an air-con room for a fair bit less than stated here with a bit of haggling. No atmosphere in the hotel itself but the location is good, close to the pier and some decent bars/restaurants around. Would stay again next time I end up in Krabi

big rooms, great views
The Grand Tower is great...and safe...The staff is friendly and it's in the very center of everything...downtown, a block from all the great food at night market..and a wonderful long park along the water. And stop for breakfast at Relax Coffee on the way to the pier.. I stayed for a month
