Rats and loud music - ![]()

The cheaper bungalows furthest away from the beach (600B/n) were infested with big rats. Not nice to see those animals running around day and night. Why do the put a wooden beam straight above the bed? Just to make sure the animals run and pee over you? The bungalows have outdoor style bathrooms, with drainage right on your feet. Bungalows closer to the beach cost 800B/n and did not seem to have rats. Food was OK until the day I was served pink (uncooked raw) chicken meat in a bowl of soup. Every other night there is very loud music from a nightclub across the road. Bring earplugs, you will need them!

I was very disappointed with the sanctuary. They hadnt reserved our room, but luckily there was one free which was more expensive. The accommodation is way over priced for a basic bungalow - 700 bht. The staff were really unfriendly and the whole place had an unfriendly vibe. The food was okay - but things were not on the menu and there was no yoga.
go to relax bay - just up the road - far superior and for the same price!!

Good Days Lanta Chalet & Resort

Good Days Lanta Chalet & Resort is set on a stretch of Long beach where a steam runs into the beach. Thoughtfully they've spaced out the bungalows nicely, though it seems they have built the chalets at three different times as there are three very different styles of rooms. The rooms are kept clean... more
The Funky Fish

Looks to have previously been only a bar and restaurant on the beach, and the bungalows look to have just been built. They are small bamboo thatched bungalows, with small balconies that have enough room to tie up a hammock. There was not much of a garden when we visited as it looked like the... more
