Viking Bungalows

Good for those on a tight budget

What we say: 3 stars

It's hard to tell one bungalow from the next along the beach -- they are pretty much the same standard-issue, garden variety bungalows. Nothing fancy, no decorations, just a wooden hut with a bed and a fan. Viking Bungalows is pretty poorly marked and it's hard to tell which bungalows belong to them and which ones belong to the neighboring outfits. The staff member showing us the rooms was slightly confused and, well, a bit paranoid, truth be told. Still, it's as good a place as any on the beach, and the bungalows with shared bathrooms should appeal to those on a tight budget. Electricity is only available in the evenings in low season, but we think maybe they make it available 24/7 in the high season. It was hard to pin them down.
