Supar Royal Beach Hotel and Resort
Popular with families

What we say:
Supar Royal Beach Hotel and Resort offers mid-range accommodation at a relatively affordable prices in an ideal beach-side location. The hotel building is a large multi-storey building while the resort is a bunch of beach-side chalets. Neither will win design awards, but they're clean, well maintained and have a convivial atmosphere. This is a popular spot with families -- so if you're looking for peace and tranquility then this probably isn't the best choice. Staff are particularly helpful.

Avoid the weekends!
Our first impressions of our bungalow was favourable - right on the beach with it's own balcony. We did think it was rather rundown and stuffy but the beach looked good. However, there were no sockets (it was a working holiday and we had our laptops with us), we discovered too late that the aircon didn't work and there was no fan, nor were there mosquito nets on the windows (which in fact if we had opened would have made the noise from the live band even worse) and to be honest it was very musty too. We had a miserable night and left the next morning. We're happy with cheap and cheerful places but this seemed just too rundown. It was a shame, the restaurant is excellent and the beach nice but it really wasn't worth 1,000 a night. A family we met there were happier - their aircon was working, so it's still worth checking out for a mid-week option. We moved up the hill to the Khanom Hill Resort - 300 baht more a night but a wonderful room overlooking the bay, and beautifully furnished.
