Araya has reasonably-priced air-con villas with high-pitched roofs set in a low-key spot on Bang Niang beach. The resort opened on December 26, 2006, exactly one year after the tsunami. Other facilities here are minimal, but there is a restaurant and massage is available. All rates include breakfast.

Attractive villas -

Nicely designed villas in well maintained grounds. Right by the beach but away from everything else so you need transport. Pool is very small. Quiet spot but borders on being dull.
