Description
A mainstay on the Khao Lak accommodation scene for more than 10 years, the Similana escaped extensive damage from the tsunami thanks to its hilly location. It's just a two minute walk from the beach and the grounds have a tranquil, rainforest feel, which unfortunately attracts a lot of mosquitoes as well as tourists. Perhaps because they're older, bungalows are smaller than at most of Khao Lak's other top-end resorts. But the rooms are cozy as they come, done in rich, dark wood and oozing character.
