What we say:

Located along Phet Kasem Rd just before the turn off for Bang Niang beach, Riverside is set along more of a muddy creek than a river, but their rooms exceeded our expectations. Dirt cheap fan rooms are small and basic with little more than a firm bed and windows overlooking the creek — no TVs or hot water in the small bathrooms — but for the price, you could do a lot worse. Air-con rooms are still cheap and a big step up in terms of space and overall quality. They feature a lot of space and a touch of style with grey brick and white walls, and are well equipped with fridges, TVs, and hot water showers. You'll have to pay extra for an air-con room with balcony, and this place is a hike to the beach, but it's a good option if looking for a cheap room and perhaps a motorbike rental during your stay, which would make the location a lot more managable. WiFi is free, and the small staff are very pleasant.
