Solid multipurpose operation
Located along Phet Kasem Rd some 10 km south of Khuraburi town, Greenview is a relatively large resort and tour operation, and while it's far from any town the resort does occupy a strategically central location for launching tours to just about everywhere in Phang Nga province.
Standard rooms are set in a hotel style building and while these aren't huge, they are comfortable with a stylishly rustic stone and hard wood design, air-con, TV, fridge, hot water bathrooms, and some great back porches with chairs overlooking the resort's pond. Deluxe rooms are in a raised bungalow set up closer to the pond, and these also aren't huge but do feature lofts, accessible by a small ladder, so the room comfortably sleeps four guests and is a good choice for families. Our favourites, however, are the clay house fan rooms tucked away near a stream and under shady trees. With high thatch roof ceilings, these rooms are completely round and resemble a hobbit's house, although far bigger of course. Aside from being irresistibly cute, fan rooms are spacious and have all the amenities of the more expensive rooms minus the air-con. Bathrooms are fully open to the air and resemble small gardens, and there are also some hammocks and large porches attached. Greenview is a very professional and reliable company and are happy to provide pick up service at either the Khuraburi or Takua Pa bus stations. Alternately, from Khuraburi travellers may get on a bus bound for Takua Pa and ask to be let off at Greenview Resort. There's a restaurant, spa, and pond with kayaks on site, and WiFi is available but at the unfortunate price of 60B for three hours.
