Ko Ra Eco Lodge
A unique back to nature experience

What we say:
Accommodation at the Eco Lodge comes in three forms, all of which are simple but tasteful and spacious and set far enough apart to have some privacy. Fans, mosquito nets, and simple cold water bathrooms with sinks and western toilets come with all the rooms. Standards are located in medium sized longhouse style bungalows and are set back from the beach under shady trees. These feature large shared porches with benches, hardwood floors and walls and have a comfortable yet rustic appeal. Suite rooms are similarly simple but offer sitting areas with the option of adding extra beds, so these are a good choice for families. The more private beach bungalows are situated well out of the way but very close to the beach, and these feature large private porches with chairs, hammocks, and well designed glass doors through which the sunrise may be watched without leaving the bed. Prices are a tad steep given the basic accommodations, but given the environmentally conscious mission of the Eco Lodge the rates seem reasonable, and discounts may be granted depending on time of year, duration of stay, and level of vacancy. The Lodge also offers package deals that can save money on transport, tours and accommodation. While it's likely that visitors who just show up at the Eco Lodge would not be turned away, virtually all guests contact the Lodge in advance to make reservations. The Eco Lodge are able to arrange transport from as far afield as Phuket and Ranong, and almost all visitors take advantage of their longtail boat transport from Khuraburi.
