What we say: 
The Hua Far Hotel is located in the heart of downtown. The rooms are average; the beds are comfortable, but the bathrooms need work. The uniformed staff are about as helpful as a rock. This a great place to practice speaking Thai because English is non-existent. The night market and the train station are a hop, skip and a jump away.

Even cheaper in 2012 !
I stayed here in September 2012 and was charged 220B for one person in a double fan room with bathroom. The window looked straight out onto a wall 1m away, but everything was clean and functional. Everything else in the travelfish article is still up-to-date. Note that this place is also known as the Hor Far (หà¸à¸Ÿà¹‰à¸²)
