Ban Pee Buasod/Buasod Cha-am House
Super deal but no atmosphere

What we say:
Description: Actually two guesthouses on the same street, both painted bright orange. The older guest house, Ban Pee Buasod, is right on the beach road, has a decent open-air lobby, and the staff are quite friendly, though little English is spoken. This is where the cheaper fan rooms, as well as the more expensive seaview rooms can be found. The air-con rooms are clean but a little on the small side, and come with TV and fridge--you'll pay an extra 100 THB for hot water. Some rooms have windows overlooking the Soi but when it's busy you may be left with the windowless rooms downstairs. The guesthouse has no restaurant or atmosphere -- just good cheap rooms. Just up the Soi, the Buasod Cha-am House rooms in a new, concrete, Chinese-style hotel. On the plus side, both are well-located in the centre of things.

better deals around
For 300 baht we got the aircon room on the groundfloor in the annex. It was moisty and they were not willing to give us something else. We left the next morning and got a room with a balcony and a kind of seaview on the third floor in a guesthouse nearby. If you want to spend a bit more, like 400 baht and walk around you may get even better deals. This guesthouse is no good. Cha Am is good for families with small children, friendly and quiet.

Buasod the Beautiful!
Best value on the beach road.Clean simple rooms with a/c and hot water only 400bt and with a beach view! A menagerie of lovely little dogs and a friendly and humorous owner, like '' Bloody Mary'' out of ''South Pacific'',made my stay memorable.Favourite dog, little poodle called ''Lucky 999''.
