Description
A real standout in the mid-price range on the beach, offering hotel-style rooms and bungalows. The bungalows are on either side of a beautiful garden--the rooms feature pleasing modern decor and feel a lot more expensive than they are. All have good satellite cable TV to sweeten the deal and bungalows have their own outdoor area to relax in after a swim at the beach. Weekend rates double, but if you're in Cha-am for one of the long-weekend holidays, the prices are a great deal relative to other places that off similar rates for lesser-quality rooms. Overall, good value. Rates increase 50% on weekends.

Total rooms: 22

Superior - Double

Bann Lann Suan Cha Am -
By Somchai ( total comments: 2  More information please ) Stayed here 12/2005
Really nice hotel. Deluxe room was modern, clean and comfortable, with a/c, fridge, TV, balcony on upper floor. Breakfast not included, and if taken as extra, was a bit sparse, but there are a few places around to eat. A good value stay.

Nana House
208/3 Ruamchit Rd, Cha-am
Situated on a untrafficked branch of Ruamchit Rd before you reach the fishing village to the north, Nana House is a gem in the mid-price range. The eponymous Nana lived in the US for a while, hangs out in the first floor coffee shop, and speaks English quite well. She runs a tight ship, and it... more

Nirundorn Resort
Beach road, Cha-am
Nirundorn offers decent hotel-like accommodation, with so many rooms that you shouldn't miss out on even the busiest days. The hotel rooms are unremarkable, with small, cramped balconies where available, and only the fan rooms are a real deal -- better, cheaper air-con rooms are available... more

Cha-am My House Hotel
234/64-66 Ruamchit Rd, Cha-am
Located opposite the Bangkok - Cha-am air-con bus stop is the orange Cha-am My House, with rare English signage. They have excellent spacious air-con rooms, furnished with closet, TV and dressing table. Rooms are newly tiled and bathrooms are also spacious, with hot water and soap and towels... more

Savitree Resort Cha-am
263/1 Beach Rd, Cha-am
Standing out from the typical townhouse-style guesthouses that crowd Cha-am Beach, Savitree has A-frame Thai-style rooves mounted on its brown brick exterior. The best thing about this resort is the easy car-parking and road access. The lino-lined rooms are bare with no decoration and grotty... more
