Bann Lann Suan Resort Cha-am
New Bangkok-style accommodation

What we say:
A real standout in the mid-price range on the beach, offering hotel-style rooms and bungalows. The bungalows are on either side of a beautiful garden--the rooms feature pleasing modern decor and feel a lot more expensive than they are. All have good satellite cable TV to sweeten the deal and bungalows have their own outdoor area to relax in after a swim at the beach. Weekend rates double, but if you're in Cha-am for one of the long-weekend holidays, the prices are a great deal relative to other places that off similar rates for lesser-quality rooms. Overall, good value. Rates increase 50% on weekends.

Service not included
The rooms are nice, well-appointed and clean. I have no complaint about the rooms but the service was reluctant, churlish and slow. The food was not very nice so we ate out after the first day.

Clean and comfortable
Really nice hotel. Deluxe room was modern, clean and comfortable, with a/c, fridge, TV, balcony on upper floor. Breakfast not included, and if taken as extra, was a bit sparse, but there are a few places around to eat. A good value stay.
