Description
The premier luxury hotel on Cha-am Beach proper. The sprawling lounge/reception area seems at once refined and hastily thrown together, but homey for such a large hotel. The hotel is designed in a series of progressively-recessed tiers meaning that rooms on all four floors have large sunny, private balconies with slightly-at-an-angle sea views. Room service includes all the traditional fare plus offerings from Leelawadee Terrace. Outside on the beach road is the hotel-run Komein Coffee Shop, with reasonably-priced draught beer and nightly live music of variable quality. The hotel also offers massage, sauna, small fitness gym, snooker and games room, business centre, internet in the lobby and comprehensive conference facilities. In the basement, there's a hoity-toity bar and karaoke joint. There are two imaginatively-designed, free-form pools with plenty of slides and nooks and crannies for the kids to play in. Separate, two-story buildings offer beach-style family houses. Moms and Dads with dough would do well to head here to give the family a memorable vacation. Recommended. All rates subject to 17% service charge. Kids 12 and under are free and cots are provided gratis.
