The Regent Cha-Am Beach Resort
One of the best, with a great pool

What we say:
As you head south from Cha-am on Petchkasem Rd, there are a number of resort hotels with full services and extensive grounds, offering all the benefits of being cut-off from the world, and none of the inconveniences. Seven kilometres down the road, The Regent Cha-am is one of the best, and represents good value for the money if this is what you're looking for. Comprised of three different locations: The Regent Cha-am is a hotel with an large, pleasing lobby and a great pool near the sea, The Regency Wing is a swanker version of the same and The Regent Chalet is a collection of cozy, well-kept bungalows with plenty of light, air and atmosphere to spare. Rooms at all three are of a consistently good quality. There are a variety of shops on-site, as well as a spa, coffee shop, French restaurant, minigolf, tennis courts, playgrounds for the kids, and a well-run pet resort for your dog (700 THB per night)! The Regent attracts mostly the rolling suitcase crowd, but even if you're a backpacker, and you've got room in your budget for one big splurge, check it out. The off-season, weekday prices are cheaper than luxury hotels on Cha-am Beach, and you get a lot more for your money. All prices subject to 17% tax. Between December 20 and January 10, all high season prices increase 2,000THB.
