The Evason is a bastion of unparalleled lushness and luxury, but those who can afford to stay here would hardly be poking around the internet reading Travelfish reviews: they're having one of their staff do it for them. And so, ye humble assistants of the ungodly rich, we can assure you that your boss will be very happy, if somewhat less wealthy, if you choose to put them up here. This reviewer was humbled that the three security guards at the check-stop on the road leading up to this palace simply allowed her to enter. There's a dizzying variety of studios, rooms, villas, and suites. Most feature unblocked sea views, some have private swimming pools, and all will set you back a small fortune. A library, fitness centre, two tennis and volleyball courts, five restaurants, full-service day spa, and an on-site medical clinic are but a small sampling of the Evason's facilities. If you prefer to swim somewhere more natural than any of the resort's three pools, take the complimentary long-tail boat to their private island -- Ko Bon -- which has some fine snorkelling. The following prices are rack prices and do not include breakfast, taxes, service charges, or even a lousy ride from the airport.

* Travelfish researchers visit and review properties on an anonymous basis. By that we mean they show up, in person, and pretend to be either be a potential guest, or somebody looking for a room for a friend or relative. Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. The rates you see above are what either the desk staff told us they were, or what were in the brochure when they just told us to quit bugging them and look in the brochure.
