What we say:

Built in 2010, Pier 42 is an excellent addition to the mediocre budget rooms along the pier road. The resort is small and compact with rooms designed to look like houses on tug boats. Room interiors are very modern, decorated in blue hues with shiny wood floors, and some even have throw rugs resembling green grass. Each room has a very comfortable bed, LCD TV, iPod speakers, minibar, giant bean bag and free WiFi. The deluxe rooms and villas have more intimate touches such as private gardens An attractive swimming pool with black and white tiling is sizeable enough to float around in but by no means large. All rates include breakfast for two. Definitely recommended for those diving in Ao Chalong with a more flexible budget. However, the standard rooms are overpriced in high season.
