The Lighthouse
Yachties hangout

What we say:
Formerly known as Jimmy's Lighthouse, the hotel still serves as a hang-out for Chalong's yachties. The Lighthouse has a handful of rooms that are often full. Rooms are decorated basically with the exception of a few seafaring portraits over the very soft bed. All of the rooms are air-con and come furnished with coffee makers, mini-fridges and TVs. The bathrooms are modern with enclosed glass shower stalls and the floors are shiny hardwood. Like the bar downstairs, the rooms have a seaside atmosphere and terrific views over the water. On the downside, you must enter the room on the canal side of the building — and it's actually more like flowing sewage. You won't need to go far to find a sociable place to have a drink, and rates include a hearty breakfast.
