What we say:

As the title suggests, these modest bungalows sit on the north end of Cape Panwa among mangroves. You could swim here – but we aren't sure you would want to. The only real budget accommodation on this side of Cape Panwa, The Mangrove has bungalows that are large and wooden with a basic fridge, TV, clean bathrooms, big beds and air-con. This place is mainly popular with Thais as shown by the sizeable Chang beer garden near the water's edge. If you don't feel like driving or hoofing it to the nice swimming spots – feel free to use Baan Panwa's pool just next door. Free WiFi. On our last pass in August 2011, Mangrove was closed and new accommodation was being built.
