Coral Island Resort
A casual resort with the perfect beach

What we say:
The words private island conjure up a lot of pretensions, but the Coral Island Resort is an unassuming place. If you'd rather not share it with the daytrippers, the beach in front of the resort is reserved for guests only. The resort's 64 bungalows are comfortably-sized with cheerfully coloured, spotlessly clean interiors. All have mini-fridge, air-con, and hot/cold showers. Prices change depending on the view from the terrace — the most expensive are beachfront, the cheapest have garden views, and the mid-priced bungalows are poolside. Facilities include two restaurants, a dive centre, a beachfront games room with pool table, and, if you like to mix business with pleasure, meeting facilities. The resort offers bus/boat transport to the island for 700B per person. Many discounts and long-stay specials are available online so be sure to check the website, and definitely make a reservation. If they're full, there's no recourse but to get back on the boat. Rates include taxes, service charge, and daily breakfast buffet at the beachside restaurant.
