What we say:

It's nothing fancy, but the rooms at Benjamin are sufficiently comfy and great value given their location on the beach. It's safe to say they are probably the best value rooms at this price and location in all of Phuket. While the rooms are as plain as it gets, they are at least air-con and have TV and a mini-fridge. The bathrooms all have tubs and hot water, although taller travellers will have to stoop to shower. Most rooms have huge balconies and you pay extra for one with a full sea view — we don’t even think it's worth the 500B extra. The best view of all is from the rooftop terrace where you can chill out with a drink and order a meal from the on-site restaurant. Benjamin Resorts accepts email bookings but fills up very fast during the high season. You can't fully rely on them to hold your room during the holidays, so be sure to have a back-up plan.

low season price update

June 2009 low season walk-in rate was 400B for standard air-con room. Low season in Kamala is very, very quiet this year.
