It's nothing fancy, but the rooms at Benjamin are sufficiently comfy and a great value. The rooms as plain as it gets, but are at least air-con and have TV and a mini-fridge. The bathrooms all have tubs and hot water, although taller travellers will have to stoop to shower. Most rooms have huge balconies and you pay extra for one with a full sea view. However, the best view of all is from the rooftop terrace where you can chill out with a drink and order a meal from the on-site restaurant. Benjamin Resorts accepts email bookings but fills up very fast during the high season. You can't fully rely on them to hold your room during the holidays, so be sure to have a back-up plan. Rates include a simple breakfast served on the rooftop terrace from 8:00 until 11:00 -- the beautiful views over Kamala Bay are free!
