Description
With all the huge, family-oriented resorts along the beaches in Phuket, it was a welcome surprise to find this small, luxury hotel, catering exclusively to couples. This place is an exquisite little gem, nestled in a cosy spot right on the beach front. The rooms are to-die-for -- excellent attention to detail in the design, and the whole effect is both sumptuous and romantic. The lay-out of the rooms centres around the huge, comfortable beds. There are big spa tubs with ample room for two, and the bathrooms have shutters that enable them to open up to the main room because, after all, there are no secrets between you, right? Ocean Deluxes on the ground floor give on to the small pool overlooking the sea, which is not exactly private. Not so with the upper floor, where the rooms are called Private Heaven, and that ain't no exaggeration. The rooms are of the same high quality, but climb up your own private spiral stair case, and you'll find the entire second floor is given over to a private, open-air terrace, with two spa beds, an outside shower, and your own exclusive view of the ocean. The service here aims to ensure you lack nothing without ever leaving your room.

Amazing! -

I stayed here for 3 days with my girlfriend and it was perfect. Cannot begin to explain how happy we were with it. The huge room opens out to the beach and pool, the room itself has a great bath/spa that fits 2 people and opens out to the rest of the room (you can even watch tv/dvds from the bath!). Perfect for couples. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was beautiful. And the beach is really nice too. Do yourself a favour and stay here.

A most relaxing stay -

What a fantastic place to stay. Located on a quiet beach with it's own pool with rooms that are designed for a most comfortable stay (you just have to look at the web site). Walter (the owner) and his staff were fantastic and always on hand to help with anything e.g. organising trips and local places of interests. This place was more than what I was expecting and will be the place to stay next time I am in Phuket.
Thanks Walter for a great stay

Kamala Bay Garden Resort
100/10 Moo 3, Kamala Beach
This large hotel has fully equipped suites, all with private bathroom, hot and cold water, air-con, cable TV and fridge. The hotel's facilities include a terrific pool with a great water slide for the kids, lovely gardens, a fitness centre and all the other features one would expect from a large... more

Kamala Dreams
74/1 Moo 3, Kamala Beach
Kamala Dreams was badly hit by the tsunami, but bounced back with a vengeance. They repaired the damage, put in a pool and added six rooms. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished -- including air-con, TV, microwave, and kitchenette. There's one large beach studio on the second floor above the... more

Print Kamala Resort
74/8 Moo 3, Kamala Beach
The deluxe rooms along the pool are pretty -- spacious, though the balconies are cramped and only semi-private. The superior bungalows out back are a better deal, with big porches, more privacy and all the bells and whistles. We liked this place before the tsunami, when it was the Phuket Kamala... more

Kamala Beach Hotel and Resort
96/42-3 Moo 3, Kamala Beach
This is the largest resort on the beach, and it has a reasonable beachfront pool, but otherwise, it's not very exciting. The rooms are a bit on the plain side and are getting a little old. The more private bungalows at the southern end are extremely similar to deluxe rooms and are overpriced.... more

Kamala Coco Hut
112/5 Moo 3, opposite Phuket Fantasea
Set in the middle of a coconut grove across from Phuket Fantasea, the Kamala Coco Hut boast a haphazard collection of rooms and bangalows (that's what they call them!) on an admittedly scraggly patch of ground. Nevertheless, it really has a great atmosphere -- there are a number of creatively... more

Kamala Beach Inn
73/115 Naga Rd, Kamala Beach
In a bad location with small pools, time seems to be passing the Kamala Beach Inn by. It doesn't help that it overlooks a river that had to be dug up and reinforced after the tsunami -- the end result is as ugly as sin. The standard rooms are no real attraction, but the deluxe suites are spacious... more
