Welcome Inn

Clean and an excellent value

At the end of Soi Islandia is the cheerful, free-standing Welcome Inn. The entire building -- from the lobby to the guestrooms -- is spotlessly clean but somewhat bare (perhaps this makes all the cleaning easier). The very big, very white rooms have air-con, satellite TV, a mini-bar, and free WiFi. Every room has an en-suite black and white tiled bathrooms with a partition for the shower and a hot water heater. You can make a reservation on the website and rates are an excellent value year-round.

Welcome Inn reviews

Read 1 opinions from Travelfish readers

Spartan but solid - 16th June, 2009
I was one of the many tourists trapped in Thailand when the airports were closed. Stayed at the Welcome Inn for 4 days -- the hotel is kept very clean, and was great value for the price. No internet, though I found I could piggy-back off the Skylight2 WiFi. (Arfur O'tools also has open WiFi). This is a good choice on Soi Islandia -- at the end of the street so the noise from the bars is not noticeable, but still only a 3-minute walk to the beach. My recollection is that there is a safety deposit box in the lobby (rather than an in-room hotel safe). A good choice.
