Description
A great high-end family place with lots of room for the kids to run around and connecting bungalows to accommodate large groups. Set on a former coconut plantation, the 64,000 square metres of land is now host to an expansive botanical garden, and provides direct access to the beach. There are only two pools, but they're quite beautiful and stunning views can be had from some of the restaurants and beachside, chalet-style bungalows. Those bungalows not on the coast have equally pleasing views of the lovely lush grounds. The rooms themselves are good, with all the expected ameneties, although some are looking a little aged. There are two restaurants -- Sala Thai, which features Thai-Continental cuisine and puts on regular floor shows of Thai cultural entertainment. The On the Rock seafood restaurant located down...er...on the rocks, has stunning views, but both restaurants are painfully overpriced. Stop by for a drink, but you're better off eating elsewhere. Wireless internet is available throughout the resort. Check online for discounted rates.

I stayed at Marina Phuket three times during last five years and I can warmly recommend this hotel. The staff was always very helpful and you can see only smiles around you. Rooms in superior and deluxe cottages are OK.- clean and spacious. There is also very good diving centre - Marina Divers - next to the hotel. I got OWD and AOWD courses there. About disadvantages - both restaurants are heavily overpriced.
