This whimsically colourful place does double-duty as an art gallery. The minimalistic but cosy rooms all have a mini-fridge, cable TV, hot water showers, a private balcony. The haven't gone overboard with the decorative touches in the room -- no fake flowers or silk pillows here -- just one gorgeous painting from their collection. They have a decent library of books and magazines, free self-service coffee and tea, plus Internet access, laundry, and taxi services. Casa Brazil has a seductive way of making guests stick around a lot longer than they intended -- there's only 14 rooms so booking ahead isn't a terrible idea. There's a really fun common area downstairs and the staff make you feel more like a friend than a customer. The beach is a five minute walk away and convenient to a gaggle of bars. Rates include taxes and American breakfast for two served whenever you'd like it. Recommended.

Awesome place - 30th May, 2007
I stayed here 7 nghts in December and loved it. Great little restaurant, cheap internet, gorgeous rooms that are cleaned (with bed made) every day. Hot shower, TV, fridge, balcony and great view.... friendly staff. Good location, less than 5 min walk to the beach.... Highly recommended!

Nice place - 2nd April, 2005
Tried air-con room, nice people, useful furniture. Super clean. Price double room 800B including breakfast, because of tsunami I think. Great
