Even though the resort has taken the aquatic mammal theme a little too far, your children won't be the only ones with a smile on their face when walking in here. If you weren't paying close enough attention, you may think you are walking into an aquarium with wax whales hanging from the ceilings but this place is certainly worth a stay. Sitting just 50 metres from Karon Beach, the 64 rooms are not a reflection of the resort's loud lobby but are tastefully decorated and equipped with air-con, bathtubs, satellite TV and mini-fridges. If you have had enough of Karon beach, you can spend your days eating at the Whale Resort's poolside restaurant, wasting time in one of the hammocks on the lawn, swimming in the killer whale-themed pool or take some time off with your significant other — babysitters are on call. Big discounts are offerred in the low season and rates include breakfast.
