Description
This massive resort takes up two-thirds of Kata Noi Beach and while Kata Thani doesn't come cheap, you do get a seclusion here that you'd pay a lot more for on other Phuket beaches. Previously there were two properties, the Kata Thani and the slightly cheaper, more family-orientated Kata Bhuri, but they've now been rolled into the one shebang, all under the Kata Thani name. The rooms are designed in a contemporary Thai style -- lots of white linen, dark woods and frangipani scattered about -- with the newly renovated Bhuri rooms being smart affairs. A bunch of pools, sprawling landscaped beachfront gardens and very courteous staff come together to form a great package. Be sure to check for online rates as there are four different rates offered. High season rates are well inflated, but their low season tariffs are excellent value and are a bargain for the luxury you are treated to. In low season the waves that crash onto the beach at Kata Noi are great for surfing and wind surfing.
