Description
Kata Sea Breeze has good-sized clean rooms that are well looked after, but they lack a bit in the style department. Located just opposite the sprawling Club Med, the resort is a five minute walk to Kata Yai beach alongwith a great selection of restaurants and bars at the southern end of town. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall the place feels a little vacant and the grounds are a bit shabby in places with large brown patches of grass and a severe lack of plant life. The two pools complete with bars are the focal point of the resort and it's usually chock a block with young families splashing around. Apart from the gardens a good choice but a bit rough around the edges.

Kata Country House
82 Kata Rd, Kata Yai Beach
It's a brave move to slap a cowboy-themed resort on a tropical island, but this place appears to have pulled it off. From the outside the bungalows look rather tragic, but they reveal charming old-fashioned Thai style, wooden throughout and impeccably clean, sweet smelling interiors. Set in a leafy... more

Kata Poolside Resort
36, 38 Kata Rd, Kata Yai Beach
Kata Poolside Resort is set back off the main road in a quiet, attractive spot and while all the rooms look onto the pool, only the more expensive rooms are adjacent. Overall this represents good standard-quality accommodation for the price range. The rooms are immaculately presented, come with... more

Kata Palm Resort
60 Kata Rd, Kata Yai
Another good mid-range resort, with standard rooms which are all pretty much on the pool. The deluxe rooms are better, with notable bathrooms, and while they're on the second floor, what they lose in pool access they gain in privacy. While the service is prompt, small things can make the difference... more

Kata Delight Villas
186/15 Khok Thanot Rd, Kata Yai
Set out on the rocks past Baan Kata Keeree, this resort makes a good attempt to pull off an infinity pool -- despite the pool's small size. From the pool and Deluxe rooms you have great views down the bay however some views from the superior rooms are partially obscured by rooftops. Rooms are a bit... more
