As you can imagine, our intrepid Travelfish researchers trudge through the grounds of many a flash resort, searching for something worthwhile to report back to our users, often in vain. A place like the Naiharn Garden makes us remember why we bother. Sure it's nowhere near the beach, but it's set on a lagoon in a lush valley and there's more to Phuket than just sea and sand. The rooms and town-houses here are high-class but homey, and all of them have charming views of the surrounding greenery. The townhouses have great kitchen and dinning facilities, making them a top pick for longer stays, but there's a bar and a restaurant on site that are also quite fetching. And they don't gouge for internet -- only 30B per hour, for which act of kindness there is surely a cosy cloud reserved in heaven. Forget about Le Meridien and stay here. All rates include breakfast. Recommended.
