Description
If you're travelling for the adventure of it all, here's your call to action. You'll find this place on the hill that leads down to Naithon Beach from Naithon Noi. The owner -- brimming with local colour and a bit too much Thai whiskey -- has three cheap, basic, very spacious bungalows, vertiginously perched on the crest of a deep valley. The location is as out-of-the-way and picturesque as any place on the island. Then there are perks: You can have as many people as you like in the rooms with floor-mattresses provided free of charge and there's plenty of floor space to fit them in. On top of which, you get a Free motorbike hire with every room! The trick is getting here if you don't have a motorbike. The owner will pick you up for free from the Muang Mai bus stop or the airport, but we highly advise you schedule a pick-up early in the day (see above, re Thai whiskey.)
