The Wonglee House offers everything that budget travellers have come to love about cosy, family-run guesthouses. There's a lot of common space for hanging out and meeting the other guests like their unique tree-house style restaurant and there is the small pool out behind the main building. The rooms scored a mis-match of furniture but include everything you need to be comfortable. The rooms on the ground floor are fan-only and the ones upstairs have air-con. The owners have also acquired a collection of brightly-coloured air-con bungalows next door that are a good option for families. Wonglee House is in an out-of-the-way location, but most budget travellers are used to staying a short walk from the beach.

Wonglee House & Bungalow reviews

Read 1 opinions from Travelfish readers

Nice enough - 17th March, 2007
Pleasant host family. Pretty average rooms with airconditioning. It is a bit of a walk downtown and to the beach, but reasonable to the average backpacker I think. 5 minutes to the airport!
