Next to entrance of the Indigo Pearl, the modest Pensiri House is simply a clean, comfortable place to stay. See how much prices fall when you eschew all the frills of a resort? All rooms have the creature comforts of air-con, a TV, hot water shower, and a mini-fridge but a balcony will cost you extra. The balconies are quite spacious with a couple chairs, but there's no view so it's hardly worth the 200B upgrade. Pensiri is a very good value and it's just a five minute walk to the beach. The staff are helpful and also operate a travel desk so you can book tours or hire a car, motorbike, or taxi to help you explore beautiful Northern Phuket. Recommended for budget travellers.

* Travelfish researchers visit and review properties on an anonymous basis. By that we mean they show up, in person, and pretend to be either be a potential guest, or somebody looking for a room for a friend or relative. Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. The rates you see above are what either the desk staff told us they were, or what were in the brochure when they just told us to quit bugging them and look in the brochure. For mid-range hotels and up, always shop around online for a competitive rate. Click here to find out more about what makes Travelfish different with regards our accommodation reviews.

We had a room with a balcony for B1000 at high season, ladies were very helpful and arranged the taxi to the airport. The room was spotless clean, air-con worked, clean bathroom with hot water, nothing wrong with this place, especially, it is only 5 minutes to the beach and quiet at night
