Sirinath National Marine Park
Back to nature

What we say:
The headquarters for Sirinath National Marine Park can be found just north of Nai Yang Beach on the way toward Mai Khao. There's a visitors centre, public washrooms, and a small restaurant open 08:00 to 21:00. It's possible to camp and there is also a youth hostel, concrete bungalows and thatched bungalows connected to C @ Nai Yang Restaurant within the park grounds. Parts of the beach are very scruffy and some of the shore is lined with mangrove forests. The park is one of the few places left on Phuket where you can really get close to nature (monkey shows don't count!), and the beach has now been cleaned up and is very swimmable. However, the plethora of food carts (while good for picnicking) has led to a slew of rubbish deposits around the camp grounds.
