What we say:

One of the new handful of high-end resorts along this stretch of Mai Khao Beach, the Renaissance is the little sister to the nearby JW Marriot. However, we much prefer the smaller size and beautiful, natural grounds of this one-year-old hotel. The 180 rooms have everything you’d expect at a five-star hotel. Each room is bright with massive bathrooms and beds. The lobby opens to a stunning infinity pond looking itself over a very swimmable pool with attached kids club and waterslides. The selling point of this gem really is the spa, which is lined with waterfalls, wooden walkways and koi ponds and equipped with more technology than a luxury apartment. The grounds of the Renaissance blend in with the conifers that line the beach and sandy walkways weave throughout the property. With three restaurants, two pools, a fantastic beach bar, karaoke room and friendly staff — you will not regret staying here if it's within your budget.
