Tucked in along one of the small sois leading off the beach road, the Grand Orchid Inn is a great budget find for anyone who values being close to the beach -- and who doesn't? The rooms are surprisingly well-done for the price and, although nothing luxurious, very comfortable with air-con, satellite TV, a mini-fridge, hot showers, and free WiFi. Upgrading to a superior room gets you a private balcony, although the view is nothing worth looking at. The family room is like a superior with a mini-room containing a single bed tacked on to it -- you can fit three people in there before extra charges apply. There isn't a pool, but it's a five minute walk to the beach. Recommended for budget travellers.
