Description
One of the southern-most resorts on Patong Beach, the Merlin Patong is part of a well-established chain of Phuket luxury hotels. Equally lovely as its sister hotel in Phuket Town, which it is connected to by a free shuttle bus, the Patong Merlin has a more resort-y feel with sprawling gardens, aquamarine swimming pools, tennis courts, and a kid's club. It's not a great choice for a romantic holiday for two, but it's a hit with families -- especially Thais. The standard rooms are well-equipped and some, designed with small families in mind, have one king and one twin bed. The suites are more than double the size of the standards. All rooms have a private balcony but the few with a sea view are at a premium. It's in a similar category with the Holiday Inn down the road, and prices are similarly high. The following are rack rates and do not include tax or surcharges.
