Not too far from the beach, Salathai is a charming little resort with only 40 rooms. There's a Thai theme throughout the property, understated and tasteful. They're clean and well-appointed, the though the rooms here won't knock your socks off, the superiors are certainly right for the price. The suites are large but were missing some of the touches you'd expect in this price range, like a spa tub in the bathroom, LCD TV, or a more striking interior design. The freeform swimming pool is among the resort's best features, plus there's an outdoor Jacuzzi. Well suited for families as there is a sizeable lawn for children to enjoy, a rarity in Patong.The rates seem high overall for what you get but, that's Patong for you.
