Description
Tucked away behind a restaurant, the Holiday Plaza looks like an old warehouse full of dorm rooms. The corridors are wide enough to drive a car through and the rooms are spartan with rock-hard beds and a small table. Rooms are fan-only and the attached bathrooms have western-style toilets but only a cold shower. This used to be a popular spot for backpackers but, with some new options opening around town, the guests have gone elsewhere and the owners of the Holiday Plaza seem to be focusing on their other on-site services – an Internet cafe, tour office, and self-serve laundrette.
