Near the round-about in downtown Phuket, Joe Mansion has air-con rooms with all the comforts of home. In fact, if you'd like to make it your home for a month or more, they offer steeply discounted long-term rates. Some rooms are more spacious than others, but all have a fridge, cable TV, and an attached bathroom with a hot shower. The furniture is pretty flimsy but serves its function. The daily rate is all-inclusive but if you're paying by the month there'll be a separate water and electricity bill (don't worry, they're minimal).
