Opened in December 2010, this new hotel is a breath of fresh air along Phuket’s busiest of streets. It is a slice of luxury with friendly prices, boasting 24 immaculate rooms in a tall townhouse. The standard rooms are not the biggest but the deluxe rooms are quite sizeable with decks overlooking Ranong Road. If booking a deluxe be sure to get a room on the fourth or fifth floor to avoid views obstructed by power lines. All rooms have air-con, LCD TV, mini-bar, desk, semi-firm beds with white duvets, tea- and coffee-making facilities and free WiFi. Chinotel is conveniently located just in front of the songthaews to the beaches and a few doors east of social hub Phuket Backpackers. Call ahead. Outstanding value.
