Proudthai Beach Resort
A cut above the bunch

What we say:
The bungalows here are a cut above a of the others in Ban Krut in the same price range -- well-maintained and well-designed. They've made the effort to include useful niceties like an armoire for your clothes, and chairs and tables to sit at on the bungalow porches. The owner has retired from a long career in the tourist industry in Bangkok, so he speaks English well and aims to keep his customers happy.

Ideal base for Ban Krut
Five stars.

Nice and relaxed
In the middle of Ban Krut beach is Praothai resort; run by a very nice retired Thai couple in a quiet garden setting. The 7 Bungalows all come with air, fridge, tv, 2 beds, hot water shower, free drinking-water, fresh towels and daily cleaning. One can sit on the large verandah and look at the palm-tree garden or take a stroll just across the road to the beach. They only serve coffee but there are 2 excellent restaurants closeby. Busy usually only Saturday nights when the holidaymakers from bangkok come around. A 10 minutes walk away from BanKrut Village proper where there is a daily morning market; newspaper store (BKK-Post arrives by 14.00) and some small scale restaurants. Not much English is spoken in BanKrut so polish up your thai!
