Sirima Guest House
Beware of the bathrooms

What we say:
In prime sea front location and directly next to Mod Guest House, Sirima is trading on past glories. The rooms are smallish and have been left to fade over the years. There is a distinctly musty smell in the rooms which probably emits from the mouldy bathrooms. Having said that, the staff seem to work hard to keep the place clean and all rooms come with private bathroom. Some sea views are available if you pay the highest prices. Rooms with air-con and TVs are available at the higher end of what is on offer. This guest house is slightly better than its neighbour (Mod Guest House) but not by much. The staff seem to have limited English, but are friendly enough.

AN EXPENSIVE DUMP
CHECKED THE PLACE OUT ANLONG WITH THE MOD GUESTHOUSE NEXT DOOR. I FOUND THE ROOM RATES HAVE GONE UP ALMOST DOUBLE AND THE ROOMS I THOUGHT WERE DIRTY ALONG WITH THE WEIRD RUDE STAFF. I SPEAK THAI AND FOUND THEM STILL TO BE RUDE. I TOLD THEM NO THANKS I THINK I TRY JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE ESLE.

The tide rolls in
And one can sleep for long hours in Sirima enjoying the sound of waves below the rooms. It's a good location, on a pier, the staff will complement your unique approach with a complete cast of characters that you won't find anywhere else in Thailand. These people are going to make you scratch your brain while you enjoy the peacefulness of this moderately priced clean rooms guesthouse with moldy bathrooms and challenging toilets. I spent 10 nights here and walked away happy with my stay. Enough said.
