Great building, shame about the rooms

What we say:

The Pattana Guest House is tucked down a side street off Naretdamri Road on the quayside. If you walk down to the pier, the guest house is located down an alley with the large 'Pattana' sign in red and white. The guest house is comprised of two teak buildings set in a pleasant garden area along with a bar and restaurant. All the rooms are fairly small, while those in the separate sala are tiny. Paper-thin walls and creaky wooden floors are bad news for light sleepers. Regardless, the place is often full in high season. This is a great option if you prefer quiet, more traditional surroundings. The attention to detail and the upkeep really do make this place a treat. The staff are helpful, but are a bit stand offish. The level of English is reasonable. The restaurant remains a good option for eating in the surrounding area, but prices are a little steep.

Guesthouse in Hotel surrounding

Stayed here 2 nights, 350 baht for a double room with shared facilities. Old building, with a beautiful garden, nice atmosphere, nice bar, no restaurant, decent breakfast, good service, bathroom/toilet is pretty clean. The surroundings are way too Jetset for our taste... old people with way too much money. This guesthouse is nice, but Hua Hin is simply not my town, else I would've stayed longer.
