What we say:

Judging by the name, Contex may sound like it belongs in an industrial park rather than a gorgeous secluded beach, but it's actually one of Ko Chang Noi's more stylish accommodation options. The beach here is small but secluded, and the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed although it is a solid hike down to Long Beach. Bungalows come in a few different sizes but all are set close to the beach, some perched beneath shady trees. All are made from wood and are more spacious than many others on the island at the same price. The large porches feature artsy purple and red plank floors along with hammocks and raised platforms with traditional cushions — large enough for four to six people to comfortably lounge. Inside rooms are basic with hard queen mattresses and simple bathrooms without sinks. There is a lovely raised deck restaurant with bean bag chairs and great views of the ocean. The grounds around the bungalows are bursting with tropical flowers, adding to Contex's colourful atmosphere. Closed in low season.
