Perhaps overpriced but with a good restaurant

What we say:

The concrete bungalows here were excellent value when this resort first opened but as its popularity has increased, so have the rates, and it is now rather overpriced compared to other options on this beach. Rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and quite comfortable even though the beds are integrated into the bungalow design and built out of concrete too. Because these are all concrete rooms they tend to be rather hot at night sometimes and the fans can be inadequate in spite of two mosquito screened windows for ventilation. The balconies are very pleasant, come with two comfortable wooden loungers, and overlook the garden with a side view of the beach, but only the most expensive front-row bungalows really have a decent sea view. The diesel generator is on 18:00-00:00 though they do have backup solar power till dawn. WiFi is available in the evenings but it isn't free (for non-guests, anyway). Chomjan does still have one good drawcard: the reasonably priced restaurant serves some of the best Thai food on the island so it's worth coming for a meal even if you don't stay here. Portions are generous and the Thai curries are particularly good.
