Suta House Bungalows
Bargain air-con rooms

What we say:
The fully equipped air-con bungalows at Suta House are a bargain at 370B. Since it's set well of the main road, noise here is no problem and Suta is quite a relaxed spot. There's a pint-sized bar at the bungalows and plenty more around this end of the street. All of the bungalows come with TV and fridge. Try and call ahead as it's often fully booked. Suta House is about 100m down a side street off Ruangrat Rd, opposite Ranong's district office.

Not good value for money!
Suta Bungalows are located in a good spot in town, but it is quite a way from the pier. The rooms themselves are clean with shiny tiles, the bathroom is large with an all in one western toilet, then a shower rose then a sink. This was the first bed we came across in our travels where we felt we should put a travel blanket over the bed and bedspread which all looked dubious. The place had no character and the surrounds not very pleasant either. The bed was not comfortable, sagging in the middle. We paid 500B for this and I thought it was very poor value. Much better value is a place up the road called Le Sarin Chalet Resort email: lesarinchalet(at)yahoo.co.th, for the same price it has (meditteranean sort of) character, very clean and the shower, toilet and bathroom basin are all separate. Just a note - it should only cost you 50B to get there in a modern pickup truck from the pier, we got diddled the first time and paid a lot more! Also the staff here do not understand English very well, we asked them to cancel a forward booking and I think they confirmed it. Stick to the basics here!

Excellent!
If you happen to spend a few days in Ranong, if you are looking for a quiet, clean, and inexpensive place to stay, this is the place for you. Impeccable service, caring and smiling staff will make you feel at home!

Nice staff
Great place. I stay here every time I make a visa run to Myanmar. Clean, quiet rooms, good service, close to evening entertainment and restaurants. Cable TV with western movies is good as the town sleeps early.

Reasonable Price & Good Place
I think this guest house has a good cost performance. I stayed there only 1 night. I chose Room NO.21,the large room with air conditoner.Because the staff said other rooms with A/C were full. It costed 420B. The room is very clean and conftable to stay. The location is also good. There are a few good restaurants and cafe near the guest house.

Close to Nightlife
They also have a good restaurant just as you enter the road leading down to the Bungalows..the Korean BBQ @ 8o Baht is delicious. It is close to the Bar/entertainment area in Ranong. The beds are a bit firm!
