What we say:

Located at the end of the beach, the Bundhaya is one of Ko Lipe's biggest resorts, with seemingly endless rows of identical wooden bungalows (we'd hate to have to find our room in the dark). We checked out the fan rooms first -- located at the far (and we mean far) back, they were grotty and smelly concrete hovels, that at 1,000 baht cost at least 1,000 baht too much. The friendly and professional staff-member who escorted us must know how bad they are, because he quickly pointed out that the rate included a buffet breakfast. That must be a pretty incredible breakfast to make up for these rooms. More expensive rooms were more nicely appointed, with comfy furnishings, wood walls, and numerous modern conveniences. They're still overpriced though, as many of the rooms felt pretty musty. Despite this, the place was packed, so they seem to do a good trade -- perhaps that breakfast buffet really is spectacular.
